Weekend Project

Well, one of many weekend projects in all honesty. We are moving soon and have been sorting out and cleaning our current place, in an effort to move with less clutter and unnecessary furniture.

This old chair, made by my great grandfather (I think) was given to me by my father, when I first moved out on my own. It was not oiled too often, specially not in my care. To be honest, it looked quite dull and lifeless, and had sick-green cushions on it, that dated it quite harshly and clashed with just about every other piece of furniture we own.

In an effort to modernise it, and convert it into a feature furniture item for our new home, Kim suggested reupholstering one of the cushions with some cloth I'd fallen in love with at a material shop some months ago.

About 12 applications of oil, and 3 hours of sewing later... Our "old" chair acquired a new lease on life!

- Vivitar 2800, full power, bare bulb, bounced off white ceiling, camera right, (Cactus V4).

Mediaboom

Media cabinet. I made this a while ago, but just came across the pics again. In the time we had a lot of electronic stuff lying around in the livingroom like servers, a computer to watch movies from, amplifiers, cabling mess, etc. I made this cabinet to hold all that stuff and make it easy to move around. It has three 19" compartiments for computers, different power groups, and a place for keyboards an so on. Unfortunately we had to move and it became less needed, but i now use it in my workshop for tinkering with computers and electronic stuff
